Anthropologie.Net
The Virtual Library is the oldest catalog of the web, started by Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of html and the web itself. Unlike commercial catalogs, it is run by a loose confederation of volunteers, who compile pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert; even though it isn't the biggest index of the web, the VL pages are widely recognised as being amongst the highest-quality guides to particular sections of the web. Individual indexes live on hundreds of different servers around the world. Sadly, since late in 2005, the WWW VL has split up due to the taking over of the association by some people not connected to the old project. Most of the serious maintainers are associated to the History Network of the VL. If interested you can check the history of this poor tale here. The old federated WWW-VL project (1991-2005) passed away in December 2005.

Ethnography
While any author will agree that his/her opinions are shared by all right-thinking people, all opinions are the authors’ own, and not representative of Ethnography.com, or their respective places of employment. On the other hand, if more people would just back off and agree with our ideas, the world would be a better place and all known human ills would be eradicated. Or at least, that’s what our preliminary research indicates.

Sara Anthro Blog
Here via anthropology blogs I am learning, sharing, commenting and enriching my anthropological knowledge and here where my anthropological identity is being shaped and where it is becoming more mature. This would not happen except by reading the diverse anthropology blogs, which many of them I found to be more useful, in terms of learning, than what one learns in classrooms and gated journals, especially, when it comes to linking everyday phenomena and events to the science of anthropology! For me, here is where I am trying to make anthropology as a way of being yet this is not an easy task to be done. It needs time, efforts and skills to be achieved.
Savage Minds
Savage Minds is a collective web log devoted to both bringing anthropology to a wider audience as well as providing an online forum for discussing the latest developments in the field. Savage Minds was founded in 2005 and has been going strong ever since. In 2006 Nature ranked Savage Minds 17th out of the 50 top science blogs across all scientific disciplines. In 2010, American Anthropologist has called Savage Minds “the central online site of the North American anthropological community” whose “value is found in the quality of the posts by the site’s central contributors, a cadre of bright, engaged, young anthropology professors.”
